This win marks India’s fourth Asia Cup title, and the Men in Blue also secured direct qualification for the Hockey World Cup 2026.
India’s early goal sets the momentum
India got off to a dream start in the Asia Cup 2025 final. Within just 29 seconds of play, India struck the opening goal, shocking the defending champions Korea. Despite Korea’s tight defense for the rest of the quarter, the early strike gave India complete control over the game.
Dilpreet Singh shines with a brace
The second quarter showcased India’s attacking dominance. In the 28th minute, forward Dilpreet Singh doubled the lead, ensuring India entered halftime with a 2-0 advantage. Dilpreet continued his heroics in the third quarter, scoring again in the 45th minute to put India firmly ahead at 3-0.
Rohidas seals the victory
In the final quarter, Amit Rohidas netted India’s fourth goal, all but sealing the championship. Korea managed to score once, but India’s relentless attack and solid defense secured a convincing 4-1 win.

With this victory, India became Asia Cup champions for the fourth time (after 2003, 2007, and 2017). Beating Korea, a five-time winner and the defending champion, makes the triumph even more special.
